Stage 2 — Prototyping

Fast & Precise Prototyping: Your Vision, Made Real in 14 Days

A day-by-day breakdown of what happens during prototyping — so you always know where your sample is and what's next.

Prototype Production Timeline

Standard 14-day cycle · up to 3 revisions included · $150–$200 prototype fee

14 days total
  • Day 1
    Brief confirmation & pattern digitization

Your PM confirms size, material, pose, and reference set. Our pattern team digitizes into CAD.

  • Day 2–3
    3D pattern making & mock-up

A virtual 3D mock-up is rendered for quick sanity-check sign-off before any fabric is cut.

  • Day 4–7
    First physical prototype

First sample stitched in your chosen material. Detail photos and video sent for review.

  • Day 8–11
    Revision round 1 (if needed)

Adjustments to proportion, face, material, or accessories. Revised sample re-stitched and re-documented.

  • Day 12–14
    Final sample + bulk readiness

Final sign-off sample shipped to you by courier; bulk material procurement begins in parallel.

Stage 3 & 4 — Bulk + Shipping

Reliable Bulk Production & Global Shipping

Approx. 300,000 plush units per month, depending on product type and current capacity, with freight options reviewed by destination and order requirements.

Bulk → QC → Ship

Bulk production usually takes 25–45 days after sample approval and deposit; freight timing depends on destination and shipping method

25–45 days bulk production
  • Day 1–5
    Material procurement & cutting

Fabric rolls and fillings pulled from stock or sourced. Laser + CAD cutting begins.

  • Day 6–25
    Sewing & embroidery production

Dedicated production line stitches your SKU. Multi-head embroidery runs in parallel.

  • Day 26–30
    Stuffing + handwork finishing

Weight-metered PP cotton filling. Faces, accessories, and fine details added by hand.

  • Day 31–35
    Two-stage QC + packaging

In-line QC during production + AQL pre-shipment inspection. Retail-ready packing.

  • Final stage
    Export paperwork + dispatch

Commercial invoice, packing list, arranged testing documents when required, and air or sea freight booking.

Process FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Ordering

The questions that come up most often during the first inquiry — answered up-front.

How much does a prototype cost?

Prototyping is $150–$200 USD and includes up to 3 rounds of revision. The prototype fee is typically credited against the bulk order if you proceed to production.

Can I request revisions to the sample?

Yes — up to 3 rounds of revision are included in the standard prototype fee. Additional revisions beyond round 3 are billed at cost (usually $40–$80 per round depending on complexity).

What file formats can I send as reference?

Anything works — hand-drawn sketches (phone photo is fine), digital art (PNG / JPG / PDF), 3D renders (.obj, .fbx, .stl), even a screenshot from your own Pinterest board. Our pattern designers build from anything visual.

What's the smallest order you accept?

Our standard bulk MOQ is 500 units per design. For prototypes and samples there's no MOQ. For very small orders (under 500), see our "Order a Sample" page — pricing is different.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, standard mutual NDAs are fine — send us yours or we can send a template. We also restrict reference material sharing to the PM and the direct pattern team.

How do you handle IP and licensing?

We manufacture to your specs. Licensing and IP ownership are the client's responsibility. If your plush is based on a licensed character, please send the licensing paperwork before bulk production. FAMA-related documentation can be reviewed when required by the licensor or buyer.

What are your payment terms?

Standard: 30% deposit on bulk order confirmation, 70% balance before dispatch. Prototype fees are paid upfront. Bank transfer (T/T) or PayPal for smaller amounts.

How do I track production progress?

Your Dedicated Project Manager sends milestone updates at 5 key points: sample approval, material intake, mid-production photo update, final QC, and dispatch. You can also request extra photo/video updates any time.

What happens if production hits a delay?

We proactively flag any delay risk as soon as it's visible (usually during material procurement or if a QC batch needs rework). In practice we hit our stated window 95%+ of the time — the 5% variance is almost always material-supplier side, which is why we dual-source.

Can you ship to a fulfillment center (Amazon FBA / 3PL)?

Yes — we routinely ship to Amazon FBA, ShipBob, and other 3PL addresses worldwide. Just give us the FBA shipment plan or 3PL label requirements and we include them in the packout.
